The Aletheia Unfolding Practitioner Certification Program

Become a Certified Coach

Most coaching certifications tell you that you’ve logged the hours and met the standard.

That matters, but in these times, it isn’t enough.

In Aletheia, certification means something different. It means that you have developed both the competency and maturity to work with the complexity that clients present — that you can track and respond to what is actually happening in a coaching conversation, moment to moment, and meet your client from a quality of Presence that creates the conditions for real unfoldment. It means your coaching has matured past technique into something more fundamental: a way of being with another person that opens what couldn’t open before.

This is not a credential you accumulate. It is a recognition of who you have become as a coach.

Who this is for

The Aletheia Unfolding Practitioner Certification Program (PCP) is designed for coaches who have completed ACP Level 1 and Level 2 and are ready to establish themselves as certified practitioners of the Aletheia Unfolding coaching method. It is for people who take coaching seriously as a profession — and who want their certification to reflect the depth and rigor of the work they’ve committed to.

How the Practitioner Certification program works

The certification program runs over twelve months in a small cohort of six to eight coaches. The core of the work is real-time case review — watching and discussing recorded coaching sessions, tracking what is happening moment to moment, and developing the capacity to see and work with what is actually present in the field between coach and client.

This is not a classroom experience. It is supervised practice at the edge of your current competency, conducted in close relationship with a small group of peers who are doing the same work. This is how coaching maturity is cultivated.

The Wisdom Circle — 12 monthly sessions

The heart of the program is the Wisdom Circle: twelve two-hour sessions of real-time case review, facilitated by Steve March and senior Aletheia faculty. Sessions are held monthly, giving you time between meetings to practice, integrate, and bring fresh insights and questions.

Each session centers on one or two recorded coaching sessions submitted by a cohort member. Together, the group watches, pauses periodically, tracks what is unfolding, and explores alternative approaches and missed opportunities. Over the course of the year, you will present two cases of your own and track and engage with ten or more cases from your peers. That depth of experience — watching many different coaches work, in many different moments — is one of the most powerful developmental experiences available in coach training.

Sessions are recorded and accessible to cohort members throughout the program. Live attendance is essential. Attending a minimum of nine sessions is required for certification completion.

Private Case Consultation with Steve — 1 session

Each participant receives one two-hour private case consultation with Steve March. This is a focused, high-precision session built around a recorded fifty-minute coaching session that you submit in advance, accompanied by your written annotations and reflections. In the session, Steve works through the recording with you directly — pausing at key moments, exploring what you were tracking, pinpointing ways to make your coaching even more powerful, and highlighting where to focus in your own unfoldment.

This session is one of the most valuable developmental experiences in the program. It gives you a direct, detailed encounter with how Steve understands the work — and with the gap between where you are and what the method makes possible.

Certification

Participants who fulfill the prerequisites and requirements for certification (see below) and who demonstrate the required competency and maturity receive the Aletheia Unfolding Practitioner Certification — a verified recognition of your capacity to practice the Aletheia method at a professional level.

If competency is not yet fully demonstrated at the close of the program, you will receive clear developmental guidance and a supported path to completion. If your path requires that additional cases be presented and reviewed, there will be an additional cost.
